GUADALAJARA, Jalisco. May 11, 2020 – BayWa r.e. Solar Systems S. de R.L. de C.V., a leading national distributor of solar photovoltaic products, launched a new campaign, “United for the Mexican Solar Industry” this week. Through the campaign, BayWa r.e. has partnered with many of its international solar suppliers to offer special promotions on a wide variety of equipment to the Mexican market. The campaign will assist solar contractors in facilitating new solar investments during the global COVID-19 health and economic crisis.
BayWa r.e. recognizes that the COVID-19 situation has heavily impacted solar contractors, who are highly dependent on the residential sector. As an additional offering to its valued partners, BayWa r.e. will also launch a new series of digital seminars entitled “Improving your Solar Company.” This series of trainings will focus on strengthening and improving the resiliency of solar businesses for challenging times such as these.
Andres González, CEO of BayWa r.e. Solar Systems S. de R.L. de C.V., remarked, “It is more important now than ever, for all of us to pull together as an industry, to support each other and to keep the growth of Solar in Mexico going. We commit to our partners that we’ll continue to innovate and find new ways to strengthen our community through this challenging time.”
In parallel with the campaign, BayWa r.e. will be running its “Purchases with a Cause” program. The program donates a percentage of all sales during this period to a reforestation initiative. BayWa r.e. has thus far committed to the reforestation of at least one hectare in partnership with Reforestamos México A.C. to reinforce BayWa r.e.’s commitment to the community and the environment. Depending on the success of the campaign, the amount of land reforested may even be higher.
BayWa r.e. would like to recognize and thank its manufacturing partners who are participating in this campaign thus far: APSystems, Canadian Solar, Enphase Energy, Everest Solar Systems, FIMER, Fronius, Huawei, Risen Energy, SMA, SolarEdge, and Trina Solar.
